Simon is the Office Coordinator at the Canterbury Men's Centre. Before joining the voluntary sector he worked for OnlineGroups.Net maintaining websites and setting up collaborative networks. He is webmaster for two national organisations and an international professional organisation. Simon has helped the Men's Centre set up a number of websites to serve different client groups.

Mark Lincoln is Business Development Manager and Social Media Consultant for Hot Pyjama Productions.

Since moving to New Zealand, Mark has worked as a sales representative for a large Australasian company, a sales and marketing manager for a corporate professional development company, and now works as the BDM for graphic design and marketing specialists, Hot PJ. Mark recently presented on the use of social media for non-profits at the FINZ conference as well as the use of Twitter and blogs for small business professionals.

Emma McCleary is a social media specialist who has most recently completed the successful social media campaign for the Cancer Society’s 2009 Daffodil Day. She has worked with several clients to reorganise their online communications to ensure greater productivity and is well-versed in viral marketing and online marketing. She has successfully raised awareness for issues and products using a variety of social media tools, including Twitter, blogs, wikis, and social networking sites.

Verna McFelin is the Founder and Chief Executive of PILLARS. She is not an IT expert, but runs a community organisation where it is important to have reliable IT and IT expenses that can be managed within a budget.

She was frustrated with technology that seemed always to be breaking down, and that was incurring costs which she couldn’t understand and had no control over. Pillars had been seeking new technology for a number of years and when Google Docs became available they decided to ditch their network server and move to Google Docs.

Garth has worked in and around voluntary organisations since he was 16.  He currently leads Community Solutions - a small consulting firm that works with non-profits and those who fund them on issues of governance, strategy, performance, and accountability.  He also teaches part-time in the Unitec Not-for-Profit Management programme.  He sees himself as a bit of a 'barefoot' researcher - keen to use research as a tool for change.

Rory graduated as an electrical engineer in 2007 and is currently studying towards a PhD. He gained experience in website design by creating several websites to share information about topics such as his hobby electronics projects and gluten free food recipes. Rory's experience in the use of online communication tools in volunteer organizations stems from his role as webmaster for the Canterbury chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society.

Karaitiana resides on several ICT boards including the .ORG Advisory Board, writes for the ICT How to Guide for Community Net and advances Maori ICT initiatives on the Internet.
